Celebrating Bailey McHan’s Promotion to Surgical Charge Nurse
At Tennessee Fertility Institute, we take pride in recognizing the hard work and dedication of our incredible team members. Today, we are thrilled to celebrate Bailey McHan’s well-deserved promotion to Surgical Charge Nurse. Bailey’s journey into fertility care, her passion for patient-centered support, and her leadership skills make her the perfect fit for this role. Let’s take a closer look at her inspiring career path and what patients can look forward to as she steps into her new position.
A Dynamic Career Path
Bailey’s nursing career began in ER/trauma, where she thrived in the fast-paced environment. However, like many healthcare professionals, the challenges of working through the COVID-19 pandemic prompted her to seek a change of pace. With a growing interest in women’s health, she transitioned to a role as an OR nurse at a fertility clinic in Dallas—and it was love at first sight.
“I fell in love with fertility care,” Bailey shares. “Shortly after starting that job, my husband’s work brought us to the Nashville area. I was very lucky that one of our doctors knew Dr. Montville, and I was able to start at TFI right after we moved!”
Gaining Experience and Building Leadership Skills
Since joining TFI, Bailey has taken on several key roles, including PACU/OR nurse and Third Party Coordinator. These diverse responsibilities have given her invaluable insight into the clinic’s operations and deepened her connection with both patients and colleagues.
“I love the patients and staff at TFI and am excited to grow in a leadership role,” Bailey says. Her experience across various aspects of fertility care has prepared her to take on the responsibilities of Surgical Charge Nurse, ensuring smooth and compassionate care in the operating room.
Expanding Responsibilities
In her new role, Bailey will continue her invaluable leadership within our surgical team. She will also be working closely with our IVF Coordinators to assist with third-party administration. Bailey will be instrumental in ensuring that all third-party patients have completed the necessary consents, FDA testing, and meet the FDA eligibility requirements before they are transferred to their provider’s IVF coordinator for cycling. Her expertise will help streamline this process, ensuring everything is in place for our patients’ success.
A Warm and Welcoming Presence
Patients who meet Bailey can always expect to be greeted with a smile and positive energy.
“You can count on me to be a smiling face when you come visit the OR side of our clinic and be a DJ for you when you visit us!” she says. Bailey’s friendly demeanor and focus on making patients feel comfortable are hallmarks of her approach to care.
When she’s not at work, Bailey enjoys spending time in her garden, practicing yoga, and hanging out with her sweet baby, Cooper. Her passion for helping others extends beyond her nursing career—Bailey is also a certified doula, a role that reflects her deep commitment to women’s health and family-building.
Looking Ahead
As Bailey steps into her new role, we’re excited to see her continue to make a difference in the lives of our patients. Her dedication, expertise, and genuine care embody the values we uphold at Tennessee Fertility Institute.
Congratulations, Bailey! We’re so proud to have you on our team and can’t wait to see all that you will accomplish in this new role.
