About Sherri Thomas
Sherri Thomas, RN, MSN, WHNP-BC, joined the clinical team at Tennessee Fertility Institute as a Registered Nurse in December 2019. After graduating with her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2022, she transitioned to the role of Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in March 2023.
Born in Texas and raised in Tennessee, Sherri graduated from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 1998 with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After working in Human Resources and as a Wedding Coordinator for 9 years, Sherri decided to return to school to pursue her dream of being a nurse and in 2014, she graduated with her Associates Degree in Nursing from Columbia State Community College.
In her eight years practicing as a registered nurse, seven of them were spent working in the Emergency Department. While there, she became a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and this is where she truly found her calling in women’s health.
Sherri is passionate about women’s health and loves having the opportunity to build relationships with patients and help them grow their families. As a patient who struggled with infertility herself, she understands the physical and emotional toll that it can take on her patients and strives to ensure that her patients are supported in their journey.
In her free time, she loves to travel, go to plays and musicals, and spend time with her two teenage children along with family and friends.
